Just another night at work. Not everyone made it out alive. Thankfully, I always carry an Elven blade when I go shoot video.

Any ideas on my next cell phone?

Dear reader,

I’m on the verge of making a major cell phone purchase, but not just any phone. I’m looking for a PDA or smartphone-type-device. At this point I’m basically torn between a Blackberry (probably Curve) or an iPhone. Both have various advantages, like price points, coverage plans, etc. Anyone care to chime in with what they use, or what might be best? So far the little demon on my left shoulder has me convinced it should be a new 3G iPhone.

I plan on using it to:
1. aimlessly surf the interweb
2. fire off terse emails
3. send ridiculous mobile photos to Flickr
4. craft ‘clever’ twitter posts.

Any input you have would be great appreciated, and I’ll consider other options as well. Please know ahead of time that I don’t care about any V-Cast bullshit whatsoever. Thank you for reading Little Lost Robot.

Vertigo, shmertigo!

Here’s a shot of production photographer, Jeff Durham shooting down at me with a Sony Handycam, as I also climbed up the 180 foot receiver tower behind our station. Getting the permission from a number of supervisors was the easy part - getting into the safety harness was the challenging part.

This was for part of this week’s “Click” segment, and not because we just decided to do some free climbing during our lunch breaks. I’ll post the story and promos as I have ‘em available.
