We made a quick trip up North, into The South to catch-up with some old friends and revisit some of the restaurants and haunts we used to frequent several year ago. Here’s a sassy snap of Eliza and her pal Kensie. It’s damn near impossible to get a photo of these kids not moving.

It’s Meatball Night! from JL Watkins on Vimeo.
We all take turns making dinner, and last night it was Chef Eliza’s turn. She demonstrates one of her many kitchen specialties: Italian meatballs!
I never thought I’d be talking about West Elm angle nesting shelves, let alone hanging them on my wall, yet here we are. And I love them.

My wife got me a pair of these (each in a set of three differently-sized trapezoidal shelves) for my geek lair. One is crawling with Vinymations and vintage cameras…

And the other houses some robots and film cameras, both are a spillover from the other robot, Vinylmation, and camera shelves.
Our preschool hipster loves listening to indie rock. After making us play this Decemberists song repeatedly in the car, we sat her down afterwards and asked sing the chorus in front of the camera. She was rather annoyed, which only added to her aloof hipster attitude.

While organizing the million photos I took this year, I realized most that have largely gone unprocessed or unposted. Moments ago, I stumbled across a whole raw folder of photos from my Mexican Riveria cruise last month. It was a “working vacation” and most of pics were action shots of Mitch English. However, there were a few odd snaps that I overlooked.

I like both of these shots, but I think they might be needing “something” – so you might be seeing them again (differently) at some point.
